WealthEngine
Terms & privacy
The short, honest version — what this is, what it isn't, and where your data goes.
Not financial advice
WealthEngine is a personal planning tool. Everything it shows — net-worth projections, the odds of hitting a goal, "The Call," and any answer from the Ask bar — is an estimate based on your inputs and modeling assumptions. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Markets are uncertain; projections can be wrong. For decisions that matter, talk to a licensed professional.
Your data stays yours
This is a local-first app. Your real finances live on your own machine — they are never committed to source control and never deployed. The published demo runs on a fictional persona (the Rao family) with no real data of any kind. Nothing is ever sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Where data goes when you turn features on
Some features send data to third parties to do their job. With live AI on, your question and a financial-context summary go to Anthropic (Claude). With bank sync on, balances and transactions flow through Plaid. Home values use RentCast; stock and gold prices use public market APIs; the USD/INR rate uses a public FX API. Each is used only to power the feature you enabled — and in the demo, all of this is either stubbed or runs on the fictional persona.
How the numbers are made
Projections run a Monte Carlo simulation over real return volatility; comparisons use cited, web-sourced assumptions. The method is described on the Learn tab. Figures trace back to live data or a stated assumption — never a made-up placeholder — but they remain models of an uncertain future, not promises.
A personal project, provided as-is with no warranty. Using it means you accept that the projections are estimates and the decisions are yours.
